21st National Symposium on Radiation Physics (NSRP-21)

Indian Society for Radiation Physics (ISRP) is happy to announce the 21st Symposium on Radiation Physics (NSRP21) which is being organised at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology during the period March 5-7, 2018. The scientific programme of the symposium has the focal theme, Radiation Physics Research at Advanced Radiation Facilities. In comparison with conventional radiation sources, advanced radiation facilities use sources which are highly intense. Such facilities are excellent tools for probing matter and provide a detection level lower than what can be achieved with conventional radiation sources.
The symposium will cover the salient features of such facilities, their capability as a potential tool for radiation physics research, the challenges faced and experimental techniques. There will be invited talks by eminent scientists, from India and abroad & oral and poster presentation of contributed papers during the symposium. The event will provide an opportunity for scientists and students to present their work and interact with experts.

Venue

Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) is a Centre dedicated for research and development in the frontline areas of lasers, particle accelerators and related technologies. Foundation of the centre was laid in 1984 and the centre was renamed as Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology in 2005. The centre is home to country's two synchrotron radiation sources, Indus-1 and Indus-2. These light sources operate in round the clock mode and researchers from all over India and abroad extensively use the facilities to carry out research in diverse areas of science and technology. Many laser systems and their novel applications related to core programs of DAE are developed at RRCAT.

Information Regarding Transport

All participants, kindly note following details:

1.Participants are requested to make their own travel arrangement from railway station / airport to RRCAT Guest House / Hotel
2.Approximate distance from railway station to RRCAT is 11 km and 13 km from airport.
3.Those who have booked accomodation in hotel are requested to sent the details (name of hotel and stay duration) to nsrp21accom@gmail.com urgently.
4.Taxi/Auto charge from Indore railway station is upto INR 250 approx.
5.Taxi/Auto charges from airport is upto INR 350 approx.
6.Transportaion will be provided to invited speakers and other dignitories only.

Instructions to participants

All participants, kindly note following details:

1.All participants who are attending NSRP-21 are requested to complete the registration formalities (feed the accommodation details, travel details and payment details in the NSRP21 website after login). Registration is still open.
2.Those who have already registered and want to edit the already fed information (Hotel information, travel plan etc.) shall do it at the earliest for arranging logistic arrangements.
3.Those who have booked accomodation in hotel are requested to sent the details (name of hotel and stay duration) to nsrp21accom@gmail.com urgently.
4.Those who feed the payment details are requested to feed the correct transaction ID (not the account no.) in the payment details for verification and confirmation.
5.For participants whose abstracts are accepted for Oral presentation, the time allotted is only 10 minutes (please note that earlier it was 15 min). Limit the slides maximum to 10 only. All are requested to sent the presentation to nsrp21accom@gmail.com well before your arrival.
6.For participants whose abstracts are accepted for poster presentation are requested to note that the poster shall contain a brief introduction, materials and methods, important results, conclusion and references, if any.
